UNDERSTANDING THE PRINCIPLE OF 3D BUSINESS MODEL
The world is too busy and filled with lots of complexities with people having all sorts of experiences which tend to make people sceptical about everything.
Selling to new clients require a special skills in marketing and persuasion to impress and win a customer.
Over the years I have seen the practicality of this principle transforming peoples businesses and I fill I should share it with you. Who knows what you can make out it.

3D business model is a simple Business model with a magical outcome.
D – Donate:
The first D represents Donate. Donating means find a strategy in which you have something (your service) to offer to new prospective clients for free. This is called sales Magnet. Something you offer to your clients that attracts and entices them to patronize and buy from you. This concept is simple. We live in a competitive world today. So, you need to know and understand that customers are selfish. They only care about getting best quality at a very good price.
Your job is to convince your prospective clients that you have all it takes to deliver the value they are looking for. Well, since customer don’t like to lose money and won’t want to gamble their money just to try you, how do you communicate your value to them, beyond the rigmarole of mouthing because you need more than talking to win customers in today’s clumsy market space?
So, the idea is to use the first D. Donate. Offer a service that won’t affect your cost structure for free to your prospective customers. Since, Customers don’t have anything to lose in the real sense, they will gladly try out your product or services.
One of the mistakes entrepreneurs make when they win their first customer is thinking it’s about making money. It’s about creating an impression that leave the customer wanting and thirsty for more of you (your product/service). Because business is all about “creating a sustainable structure to deliver value that generates revenue in which the company or the business can leverage on to create a sustainable profit structure to maintain her service promise.”
So, giving your customers your first free service is to let wet their appetite about the worth and the quality of your service. That way, you can win their heart.
Another effect of Donating is, people usually feel psychologically indebted when someone do them a favour. They have the pressure to repay the person. This psychological effect is your anchor power to win the customer forever.

D –Dazzle
The second D means Dazzle. This is where the magic happens. Have you ever had an experience of someone giving you a cake to taste and at first you were reluctant but when you tasted it, you were like give me more. That is the magic. Donating opens the Door, Dazzling your customers keep them amazed and locked-in, While Delivering keeps them busy. This is where you completely close them. This is how you crush your competitors. This means you can’t deliver lesser than excellence. This strategy works as a continuum, which means only 3 can exist as a whole in which the inexistence any of the three means the nonexistence of the three.
You can’t donate and not dazzle, because that will amount to you wasting your energy. To brothers in the house (I know you can relate. LOL). Have you ever seen a very pretty and attractive lady from afar and you are like O my Gosh, see babe. So, you decided to chase only to say Hi pretty and she sounded like “Yes! What Can I did for you –Ye! Mogbe, Gbese! Bad English spoil our shister LOL(talking from experience).
Well that is what happen when you donate and you can’t dazzle or impress your new/existing clients.
However, if you can Donate and Dazzle, Please be ready for Quantum leap in sales.

D –Deliver
This is the good part. This is the part where you decide to maintain service promise, service delivered. This is about the system you have or put in place to accommodate growth.
Just like the other day, I was working in a site; I had about 9 persons working with me and we had to eat. So, we decided to visit the nearest mamaput. Getting there we saw that the woman only had chairs to accommodate four persons at a time. So, I realised that building capacity that accommodate growth should be one of the major value to build in business.
A lot of people are good but their delivery is poor. So, as part of your commitment to growing your business this year, you need to increase capacity.
In the next post I will share with you how to increase capacity of your business to accommodate growth.
