He said, as I mapped out in words the planned steps to help him grow his business and release more cash.
But I could sense that he didn't quite get it. It was my fault. I was finding it hard to explain - armed with just words.
So I stepped up to the whiteboard and drew up the plan in colourful shapes, numbers and a healthy splattering of squiggly connecting lines and arrows.
"Ah, now I get it"
He said, eyes lit up.
Thinking visually is powerful. Especially when trying to simplify complex and interconnecting steps.
(Just grab a pen and some paper. Or if you're feeling a little more fancy, roll out the whiteboard).
