Hello steemians,
Bots are already the main whales of the Steemit community so here is a guide on how you can use bidding bots and take the maximum profit.
1-Open https://s3.amazonaws.com/yabapmatt/bottracker/bottracker.html?#bid : this is a steem bot tracker that will let you know how much time is left, your profit, last round statistics...
2-If you really want to get the maximum value then you should post the article you were thinking in promoting about 5 minutes before the vote bid ends, by doing this you will get an extra 25% of the curation rewards the bot would have taken otherwise.
3- 31.1% of visitors of Steemit.com are from United States according to https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/steemit.com so if you place your bid during an hour in which most americans are sleeping you will not have as many competitors.
4-Always watch the difference between the vote value of the vot and the total bids. By bidding in the last 5 minutes right after posting your article you can see wether it is profitable for you or not.
Example:
You see that @booster has a 61.88$ upvote and the total bid is only 10$. There are only 5 minutes left so it is a safe bet to post your article and send for example 5$ to @booster with your post in the memo. You would have get a 33.33% upvote worth over 20$ so not only you would have promoted your post, you would have earned a 400% of your investment.
Tip:
When you are in the steem bot tracker you can click the details button to see how much was the total bid 2.4 hours ago and therefore have an idea on how much you could make.
I am not saying bots should be used with a financial motive, in fact I think they should be considered as a promotional tool but knowing how to increase your profit might help you.
Cheers,
@lrd
