WEB LOG // Dream Interpretation? // Snakes

streamblog.png

I see dreams quite often and I don't usually speculate over them. I usually remember them right as I get up in the morning, but forget about them by the noon. Usually my dreams are just too unlogical to even analyze them. My unconcious mind can reach to places I haven't even thought about, but it's always fascinating to experience those dreams. On those mornings I am just happy that I am even able to see dreams, because I know there are many people who usually don't see (remember seeing) anything.

But I am not here to talk about all of the dreams I see, but the particular dream which has somehow gotten my attention the most - and it consists of snakes.

I could say that snakes are something I am really afraid of - always have been. I have no bad experience with snakes luckily, but they just scare me A LOT. Could this be a phobia? I don't know. They are just too unpredictable and I think that's what's scary about them.

Killing snakes

I have seen snakes in my dream (althrough my life) quite a lot. Usually the dreams about snakes have been with the scenario where I kill them with a handgun. I have never ran from them, I have always killed them in my dreams, feeling scared and hopeless to not survive. I have always survived.

Here's the interpretation for those dreams:

Killing Snakes in Your Dream

A dream about killing snakes is a positive dream. It means you can overcome your fears, defeat challenges, and advance ahead on a smoother, less-challenging path. If you feel satisfaction after killing the snake, then there is something in your waking life you need to overcome in order to feel fulfilled. Killing a snake in your dream represents a struggle in your waking life that you need to face.

As I understand this could mean that I have faced difficulties that I've had to overcome? I guess there have been and I guess I have overcome them if I am here right now.

Getting along with snakes

But lately.. the dreams about snakes have changed completely. I haven't seen myself being scared of them and killing them. Actually completely the opposite. I have seen snakes in my dreams, feeling in peace with them. Feeling like I understand them and that there is nothing to be afraid of. Feeling that snakes are animals just like all the other animals, being able to live next to humans very well, not being a danger to us (or in my dreams case - to me). I see being friends with snakes.. I see them as good animals.

And I haven't found any interpretation for something like this what I'm seeing. Usually seeing snakes in your dreams means something bad. Snakes refer to someone bad. Therefore me killing the snakes is me trying to overcome the difficulties, bad situations or bad people. But what could getting along with snakes mean? I don't want to believe that it means that I am getting along with bad people in my life. That's not what my gut is telling me. I feel like I am surrounded with good people right now and I have come a long way to reach this point in my life. I don't let people near me easily.

The dream is really fascinating to me, as always being scared of snakes, I am now seeing them as my friends and feeling so comfortable around them. Today I saw that I took home 3 snakes and they all listened to me. I was A BIT scared that I will not handle the situation, but it turned out that they are absolutely fabulous beings - they did as I said and they like.. almost purred to me. IDK.. IT'S SO WEIRD.

In some cultures, seeing snakes that are being controlled either by you or by someone in the dream, refers to the fact that you have or are gaining the ability to control your life and overcome your fears, and that you or the person controlling the snake in your dream is your biggest source of strength and wisdom. This holds more meaning if you were not fearful of the snakes, but neutral in the dream.

Could it be that I am just gaining more power and strenght? Am I going to rule the world? Lol.. I have no idea. I feel like I am nowhere in my life currently. I haven't accomplished anything lately, but could it mean that I soon will do epic things? Huh?

Are there any dream interpretors here?

  • What do you think this could mean?
  • What do you often see in your dreams?
  • Do you believe that dreams have meanings?
