How do we hook people onto Hive Blog?

People were encouraged off MySpace and led to the very cool Facebook as time went by. I specifically remember being on MySpace in 2006 during college. Around that time, my classmates were on Facebook. So, I eventually joined.

A big empire like Facebook was able to hook people, long story short, and Facebook became like a drug for too many people. It became mainstream and like a virtual monopoly and many different things.

In too many ways, it's like Facebook has that unfair advantage over competitors like Gab.com. Minds.com, Library, Mea Omnia, etc.

Hive has an advantage in that is has cryptocurrencies (never mind that Facebook has an alleged crypto coin, Libra), etc.

So, long story short, it can be challenging to hook people onto the underdog challenger, Hive Blog. I've been thinking about these kinds of things for over ten years now.

Facebook started growing via colleges at first. Facebook got a lot of promotion I would imagine. So, it went pretty viral pretty quickly. But MySpace was still cooler but possibly harder to use for non-nerds.

So, like you said in this post, too many people have not stayed on Steemit and Hive going back to 2017 or was it 2016?

I think, still, Hive has been growing and that is the good news.

And perhaps a very simple Hive app could be the thing that makes Hive go super viral someday.

Hive is still in beta mode they say or maybe that was just Steemit.

I'm a bit of a computer wizard, meaning I can handle Hive.

But I know it can be challenging for newbies.

I don't know which app would be the best for introducing new people to Hive.

Account creation is one of the most challenging parts.

Also, people who try too hard to perhaps make too much money on Hive may run into excessive failure which is part of life. It's like going to a casino to gamble. The free market has risk and you may not always get an upvote sadly.

People shouldn't get their hopes up and should focus more on using Hive to backup posts. That is priceless in a world where censorship is so big. You can wake up one day and find your content all gone on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.

So, censorship resistance is a major selling point for Hive.

But besides that, I hear what you're saying, like it's challenging when your friends can be on Facebook for example and i would know as I still got some on Facebook and elsewhere. So, even I feel at times like I just want to hang out more at Facebook than Hive.

So, I don't want to start sounding like a hypocrite lol.
