Airdrops vs Bounty

The first few months of BitF have been incredibly exciting and rewarding for those who discovered us when we started selling at market.

The single most difficult decision we had to make was how to distribute BitF. What we decided to do was avoid any future regulatory problems associated with having an ICO by selling the coins at market. We felt that building a community of users in the initial stages of the project was far more valuable than any capital that could have been raised.

We started trading at 1 sat and we very quickly saw more action than we anticipated for such an early stage.

Yesterday we released a bounty list for promotional activity that anyone with writing skills or social media accounts can participate in. We've received a lot of feedback as well as questions about why we are using a bounty instead of an airdrop or why we don't do both.

To keep the project growing its important to discourage "dumping". Airdrops create a situation where some people claim their coins and dump them- or claim them and never touch them again. In the situation where the person never touches them again - it adds scarcity but no demand. Airdrop dumpers simply suck value out of the market and move on to other thing. At this point it would be too late to distribute this way as we have stakeholders to consider!

Our realistic bounty schedule calls people to action in order to get a reward. Anyone can tweet or write articles for Medium and we'll pay them for it. The bounty system enables people to "dump" as well, but the chance of gaining a loyal following is substantially higher. People usually put more value in something they have to work for than something that is simply given away.

We'd like as many people as possible to get involved in the BitF project. We have opportunities for everyone - whether its running a masternode, being a stakeholder or spreading the word and earning bounty. Transactions on our chain have value to us and we'd like to increase the number of transactions. We'd also like to raise awareness about the BitF project by engaging the cyptocurrency community.

BitF is a carbon neutral cryptocurrency. It has a maximum supply of 25m coins with only 1m currently in circulation.

The following is a list of promotional services that almost everyone can take part of.
