Bitcoin Art (r)evolution – The rendezvous between Art and cryptocurrencies
This exhibition will be a world premiere in Paris: international artists from various horizons will exhibit their works about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. They will make discover the symbols of this universe still little known to the general public by illustrating the genesis of this digital revolution similar to the beginnings of the Internet.
The exhibition will show the potential of crypto-currencies through symbolism and practice. They will be an integral part of the process of artistic creation and will allow the acquisition of works in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies (Litecoin, Monero, Ethereum).
Some bitcoin will be hidden in artworks and certificates of authenticity registered in the Bitcoin blockchain will also be issued to buyers.
The public opening will take place from September 28th to October 5th, 10am to 6pm in an ancient art gallery (owned by ERM Development) on 15 avenue de Messine, 75008 Paris, France.
A unique opportunity to decode the potential disruptions cryptocurrency and blockchain can cause in the world of art:
– What changes in the relationship between the artist and his audience?
– Is selling artworks without intermediaries now possible?
– Will freeing yourself from the art market and the restriction of banking system give the artists a greater freedom of creation?
The exhibition organized by the French artist Pascal Boyart proposes to discover Crypto Art, a movement inspired by the ideals of decentralization. The leading figures will be present with the American artists Andy Bauch and Coin Artist.
« France, through Paris, is well positioned to become the capital of this new art form by bringing together art and crypto. Crypto Art is redefining the way an artist can engage with his audience. Cryptocurrencies here appear as more than just a monetary revolution but also a cultural revolution » says Brian O’Hagan, Coinhouse Marketing Manager.
