I often feel limited by myself and my surroundings, and it often leads to a victim mentality in which I feel sorry for myself. If I only had time, I would visit museums, I would study, I would do this, and I would do that... but, then if I am honest, then I also know that I could probably learn just as much and maybe more by simply finding a book in the library or online that would give me information about all the important facts, objects, and paintings in the museums, compared to actually going there.
So what is it all about? The world is open and is waiting for us to conquer it. Are you conquering the world? Are you just a victim, or are you removing the walls and learning right now?
Don't look for excuses, but look for opportunities. The next time you find yourself complaining because something isn't fair or you are unable to solve something, think about how you can actually accomplish it without being a victim.
