Hey Arthur, I have watched your video twice with great interest. It is most instructive to see the first lines gradually built into the finished portrait. First the structure, then the bracketing values, then the rough features, then the sensitive modeling. The finished work is a subtle meeting between you and the model, respecting both his likeness and your take on him, the combination more alive than any photograph.
"The model is a map to be interpreted... I like to follow my feelings..."
This is where art lives.
I thought there was just the right amount of voice over---instructive, leaving plenty of time to watch. Thanks for the materials list and for taking the time to produce the video. It is one thing to sense and appreciate art; it is another to actually watch it being made from eye and hand and heart.
