Finding inspiration is a constant struggle for most people. When your full time job depends on that inspiration, the added desperation can really be detrimental in this pursuit. This is because inspiration, as you've probably heard several times before, comes when you least expect it. It is not something you can turn on and off. It is not something you can go and find. It is more of a mindset, which one must learn to craft and develop over time. There's usually a good idea buried somewhere deep within your headspace. You need to learn how to search every little cobwebbed corner and cabinet in there, and "MacGyver" your thoughts into something useful.
In 2013, I committed to creating 3 new pieces for an art show (which was a month away at the time). I did this mostly as a challenge to myself to help myself improve on this practice of forced inspiration. I would love to know what you think! If you enjoy this piece, leave a comment, upvote or resteem.
