[Odessa]: Cultural center or house-Museum of Bleshunov

 Hi friends!

It's time to look into the most unusual Museum in Odessa - a Museum of private collection of Alexander Vladimirovich bleshunov. Pioneer of mountaineering gave Odessa a collection of works of art, which collected all his life (about 10 thousand exhibits)

Paintings, Persian carpets, rare porcelain, furniture, mysterious Oriental scrolls, icons, ancient jewelry and many other things can be seen in the house of bleshunov

The exposition of the collection is presented in 10 rooms of the former apartment of the Polish, 19. This is the first such municipal Museum in Ukraine. The atmosphere and friendly caretakers give a feeling of coziness and comfort

For me, this Museum is like a fairy tale, where in a few hours you can learn the culture and art of different countries and different times. Near the Museum you can look into the old Odessa house with all the details

Small rooms are very concentrated strewn with exhibits of antiquity. Over the entrance hang the bells, in which you can call. Logically, the territory was divided into halls by Alexander Bleshunov himself:

  • Christian
  • Odesika
  • Muslim East
  • Ukraine
  • The Art Of Western Europe
  • Art of the Buddhist East
  • Russian antiquity
  • Memorial room (office) Bleschunov
  • Ladies ' lounge
  • Exposure on the stairs

Today we will look at several halls. Let's start With Russian antiquity

Hall " Russian antiquity"

From this room begins the inspection of the Museum. Here are works of art and household items that were an integral part of the Russian people of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The main role of this hall is played by pieces of furniture made in different styles.

Classicism we see in the Secretary to the right of the window (19th century). This Cabinet served as the fitment of the ladies room. The box for needlework was also an integral part of the ladies. She's sitting on her Secretary.

Left men's closet. The austerity of forms and decor with military symbols, which corresponds to the Empire style

Very beautiful design of an old chair with Swan armrests. The paws of the lion serve as legs. The Golden upholstery is completely in harmony with the gilding of the thread. The chair is made in Empire style (late 18th and early 19th centuries)

Since ancient times in Russia was revered iconography. In this hall there are icons of even the beginning of the 17th century

Icons: Apostle Peter, Michael the Archangel, John the Baptist

The Central part of the wall is the painting "boyar manor" (1912). The artist's paintings Kalning A. K.

Under the painting hangs a wardrobe that breathes French culture. Russian society of 18-19 centuries was very interested in French art. The Cabinet is the work of Russian craftsmen who really wanted to be like the French master S. bull. In the locker comfortably settled figurines of the characters of "Dead souls" by Nikolai Gogol. Products are made in 1953 at the Leningrad plant

The rare value of the room is a gilded old believer icon in the pearl robe "quench your illness". It is located in the upper left corner. The icon refers to the Vetka school 18-19th centuries in Eastern Polesie

Room in honor of the memory of Alexander Bleshunov

The room of the owner of the apartment and the Museum collection is completely devoted to his life. A little bit about the life of bleshchunov was written earlier. The main thing of his life is mountaineering. A. Bleshunov posthumously was awarded the "Order of the Edelweiss" from the international Association of climbers. For the country in this direction and not only he did a lot!

In the photo, the desktop of Alexander Bleshunov. Manufactured in the USA (19th century). Now on the table are a certificate of graduation, a diploma of College and Institute. Letter of gratitude from academician D. S. Likhachev and others

Many creative people, students, friends visited this room for Board games and tea. The table at which they sat, and standing in the center of the room

Above the piano is a triptych of 19th century composers: Ludwig van Beethoven, Richard Wagner, Franz Liszt

To the left and right of the triptych hang paintings "Bouquet of flowers" and "Roses" by German artist Bepler. On watercolor "Bouquet of flowers" is the seal of Meissen porcelain manufactory. These drawings, most likely, were sketches for painting of products of the world-famous manufactory

The work of Austrian weavers in the technique of woven silk is a composition of the painting "the joy of his heart"by the painter Morgan. This is one of the most favorite paintings of the silk

Central picture - A. Bleshchunov

On the left in black frames are old embroidery. Embroidery on the left belongs to the 19th century. On the right is the end of the 18th century, semi-cross-stitch, which imitates tapestry weaving.

Above the embroidery is a fragment of an ancient German tapestry of the early 19th century

Very nice bookcase in pseudo-Moorish style

This antique dresser with lions are all military and labor awards A. Bleshunov

His favorite works of art are located above his Desk. Above all the big portrait (1873) - is the grandmother of Alexander, French françoise Drabkin (Duru). She was a graduate of the Sorbonne. Myron Drabkin, grandfather of Bleshunov, instilled in his grandson an interest in collecting, which our hero carried through life.

We have visited two halls of the Bleshunov Museum. To be continued...
