A diverse painting style is what I aim for in this watercolor painting journey. I have seen masterpieces of various artists from all over the internet and hey was I inspired from their talent! And so I decided to pick a new muse of style in my next painting. I also have seen this a lot of times in my instagram feed and it took me this long to try this to experience the art in this mesmerizing angle.
Now I will be showing you my 3rd watercolor painting here on steemit. This looked a little messy but I still like the rawness of what was made (HEHEH)
This point I will now be showing the process of making this art. At first there is again a little confusion of how I am going to end this painting that would still look elegant. I have a rough idea of what I would like to do but I could not yet put them into colors. So to start my guideline, I drew this woman face front using a pencil.
Next is deciding what color to use. I was still enamoured by my previous painting so I ended up using almost the same colors.
If you may observe from the last one I was carefree in stroking her hair color while this one seems a little different for I planned on making a picturesque view in her hair. So what I did first is something like this.
I used light violet and blue in her hair while light hint of orange in her skin tone. The next one will be a repetition of stroke to actually get the perfect color I wanted (hahah) I was still not convinced so even though the paper is wet and wrinkled, I still pushed through with the stroking of my brush. And this is what it looked like after that.
And then I let it dry...
Next I darkened the colors a little bit more to emphasize the nighttime effect that I want to portray in the scenery, put some small white marks as stars above the sky and continued on darkening out the hills and seas.
Then let it dry again...
Now I started to work on her face. I used Pilot G-tech 0.4 as to highlight her features. Honestly throughout the hair process I thought this painting would not look good enough but when I started drawing the woman's face, my mood lights up again. This is what I'm talking about! How does a woman portrait do that to me? That is why I always like to make portraits because of this excitement - the art that makes me feel satisfied. Hahah anyway, this is what it looks like...
Did you get the same I feeling I did? (HEHEHE)
As final touch, I put some colors on her face and I was completely at awe by my own artwork! I admit I do not have much experience but this painting again puts smile on my face that knowing as a beginner, I can do something like this!
To amateur artists out there, we can do so much more! Do not let fear hinder you from doing great art! :)
