Hello there Steemers,
Yesterday I posted a sketch of this drawing, while forgetting to give an English description to it... So today, with the final version, its going to be all in English :)
This drawing is a tribute to Fabrizio de Andrè, an Italian song writer who passed away just before the start of the new Millennium. Called by some as Italy`s Bob Dylan, il Farba still is an icon in the Beautiful Country, one of the last ones of his kind, who via his music knew how to touch your soul by presenting the daily life of the mariginalized.
In fact, the flower is a clear reference to one of his most known songs, bocca di Rosa .
A song of a girl, defined by today standards most possibly as a slut, who get chased out of the village by the bitter and resentful cheated wives...
One of my favourites is Dolcenera, literally translating in Sweet Black, a bitter sweet nickname for the torrential rushes of water which come racing down the hills, destroying everything in its pass. This devastating force of nature is a recurrent phenomenon in Liguria, the region where Fabrizio is from. It curiously lays on the other sides of the hills where I live, and in fact to me it is without doubt the most beautiful region of Italy!
If I may give a last musical advice of his repertoire , here is la canzone dell'amore perduto , simply called the song of the lost love... I think it speaks for itself.
For those who missed the sketch I was referring to in the beginning, here it is:
I was trying the color on a copy of the original sketch, and kinda like the rough touch and the end result.
Well, I will move on to the next drawing,... Enjoy the music ;)
