Here are some pictures that I have created with the help of the artificial intelligence and are supposed to bring the underworld from Greek mythology a little closer. According to legends, the underworld emerged from the primordial chaos at the time and it is a dark place which is divided into different areas and in total two deities are known that rule here and among them belong Hades and Erebus and this place is often associated with the occult. The underworld of the area of Hades is guarded by the well-known hell dog Cerberus and the entrance is also often considered the end of the world and over the two rivers Styx or Kokytos the souls are brought into the underworld with the help of a boat of Charon. Cerberus is responsible for ensuring that no one enters or leaves the underworld and only a few have managed to get past him alive and among them were Orpheus who managed to distract him with his singing and also Odysseus and the hero Heracles managed to leave the underworld. The two regions are called Tartarus or Elysium and the lowest point of the underworld is Tartarus and this place is particularly associated with pain and it is particularly difficult to escape there because this place is surrounded by flames and most souls came to Elysium which was rather considered a neutral place. There are numerous legends that revolve around the underworld and interesting views come from the Greek poet Homer who had often associated this place with mysticism, secrets and the astral plain. One of the best known legends are probably associated with the kidnapping of the daughter of Demeter who was to become the wife of Hades and she was very homesick and finally it was decided that she was allowed to leave the underworld for a few months and this time was also associated with the beginning of spring and vegetation and when she is back in the underworld, there is winter. Hades is also often considered the equivalent of Lucifer and other well-known legends that revolve around the underworld are associated with Theseus and Pirithous as well as Orpheus and Eurydice. Even in art, the underworld is often depicted and usually it is associated with Hades while Erebos moves more into the background and there are numerous artists who have oriented themselves on Greek mythology as a role model.
