MY FIRST SCRIBBLE ART
Some artist, in one way or another has their own style or oftenly using a technique that makes them unique. Usually, artists practice a style of their choice which they master to excel in that specific technique. Drawing style/techniques are also ways in improving ones drawing skills.
One artist I know(but not personally) uses a specific style and is really good at it Vexx. He's from youtube and he incorporate doodles in every art he does. Finding your own style is not really a must for every artist especially to those who are already good at drawing. But to those aspiring artists just like me who is struggling to make an art, practicing an art technique would be a key to be good in drawing.
Why I chose Scribble Art?
There are lots of drawing techniques that are commonly practiced by professional artists but the one that really struck my heart is scribble art.
It is spontaneous, limitless, childish, and messy but the outcome looks stunning. I love how a simple free hand drawing turns into something beautiful.
I also love scribble art's messy nature as it complements my chaotic mind. I always have this problem of coming up with art concept which usually ends to nothing. I could not quickly draw out what is in my mind because my imagination is vague, especially in symmetrical drawings. Everytime I try to balance one side to the other, it would turn out to be larger or smaller than what it should be. It always took me 2-5 retries just to make a decent outcome.
Scribbling really helps a lot. You don't have to mind about symmetry because you just have to scribble it out until it match.
How did I chose the style?
There are so many different art styles out there that we want to be proficient with and choosing one to master first is really hard. When I chose this art style, I put three main point into account.
First
Pick three different art styles. In my case I picked scribbling, pointilism and doodling.
Second
I use one concept art and make three different drawings using the three styles.
Third
I pick what I think is the best then continue practicing with that style.
How to do Scribble Art
When we were still kids, we've been doing scribble arts. This freehand gesture drawing is relatively easy to do. Here are the important points you must consider when making scribble art.
- Draw what is in your mind or the emotion you are feeling right now.
- Don't stop the pencil or don't pick it off the paper.
- Put more scribbles to areas where there is no light.
Tips in scribbling
Since scribble art is spontaneous, some details to the drawing may not be drawn. But continuous pravtice and learnin to make your gesture drawing to make it more expressive can help you be good in scribble art. All of these suggestions may not be appropriate for every drawing, but from time to time you may want to incorporate them into your drawings.
I want to learn more about scribble art and the different techniques to be good in it but this doesn't mean I will be doing only scribble art from now on. This only means that I will be practicing more in it. I will still be doing different art styles like I usually do. Because I believe that the more techniques I learn, the closer I get to become an excellent artist.
How did I draw my Deadpool Scribble Art?
Drafting
I first made a light sketching for the drawing.
Detailing
I the proceed to draw the eye patch and the rest of the drawing using a 0.04 pen.
** Scribbling**
After that, I proceed to make the scribbles.
Coloring
When the scribbles are done, I then add the colors to make the drawing more beautiful.
And it is done
Here is a video to show how I did the drawing.
