Good afternoon dear friends of Steemit. Today I share a painting I made of the branch of a flowering cherry tree, which was my first practice. For this I used the materials I show below:
- Chinese ink.
- Watercolors in pills.
- Chinese brushes and a toothpick.
- paperweight, felt and containers to dilute the ink.
- A sheet of paper of 120 gr / m2 special for watercolors and ink.
Painting process:
I started painting the branch with washy ink and with the brush almost dry, obtaining the texture that is shown in the image.
Then, with a shade of washy ink a little darker than the one I had previously used, I painted the lower part of the branch giving it more shape and three-dimensionality. Also, with pure chinese ink I delineated some areas of the branch.
Then, I proceeded to draw the flowers of the branch with a toothpick and with pure Chinese ink.
Finally, add more flowers in areas of the branch where it was necessary to place, and then, I painted these flowers with pink and red watercolor. Finish the painting by splashing some watercolor drops along the sheet of paper, and signing the finished work.
I thank you for taking the time to see what I love doing, I hope that you liked this painting.
