Hace unas semanas mientras estaba algo aburrido, vi unos minutos de un programa en la tv que trata de investigar lugares históricos con espíritus e historias paranormales, en el cual el chico que conducía el programa visitaba un pequeño pueblo y una casa donde ocurrieron cosas terribles. Y en la investigación el chico se topo con un #elemental. Parafraseando sus palabras: "Espíritus que habitan en el entorno o nacen en casas y edificaciones..." cómo el objetivo de su investigación era otro no se extendió mucho en el tema.
Y yo como todo fan del anime, y curioso por la mitología no pude evitar sacar mis conclusiones y teorías.

Mientras investigaba sobre los elementales hubo algo que me sorprendió y vino a mi mente muy rápido y es la base argumental de la trama que tiene #JujutsuKaisen. En el transcurso de la 1era temporada vemos diferentes fantasmas o maldiciones, quienes son los antagonistas de la serie, además que están clasificados según sus características, para saber a cuánto peligro se enfrentan los hechiceros en cada batalla.
Los grados especiales gozan de inteligencia y emociones, un punto en común con los elementales es que portan individualidad y conciencia.

Otra cosa en común es que los elementales también nacen de las emociones humanas, o mejor dicho de la energía emocional, aún más los elementales de tierra, quienes son los que surgen en la apertura de un hogar o luego de que se marchan sus primeros habitantes. Lo que explicaría el porque en el anime las maldiciones son más comunes de ver en zonas rurales.

Sin embargo hay algo en que difieren entre los elementales y las maldiciones y es que los elementales apesar de que también se alimentan de las emociones negativas humanas, estos también pueden tender a ser bondadosos, armoniosos y amistosos. Si los moradores de un hogar viven con respeto, amor y tranquilidad, el elemental se alimentará de esto y no causará caos en el hogar, (aunque hay casos pocos explícitos en la serie donde esto sucede, en que las maldiciones hacen algunos actos de buena voluntad, pero solo entre las mismas maldiciones como Esou y Kechizu, Hanami y Jogo...)
En el caso contrario de que sean emociones negqtivas pueden llegar a ser violentos, agresivos y en casos especiales causar enfermedades. Lo que me hace pensar en como esto se vio reflejado en el capítulo dónde el cuerpo de junpei fue mutado por Mahito, incluso en las otros capítulos en que transformó a niños en maldiciones...

Algo que dió pie para redactar este post, fue una curiosidad que me surgió: ¿Es Hanami un elemental? En mi opinión diría que si, sin embargo es evidente que el mangaka Gege no encerró el argumento de las maldiciones en la clasificación de los elementales. Ya que esto le da libertad creativa para crear personajes y arcos de historia únicos.
Y hablando un poco más sobre
#Hanami: Sin duda sus habilidades de combate son elevadas, sus poderes son manipulación de plantas y sigilo. Lo que le acercaría más a un elemental de tipo planta, pero por sus feroces ataques y experiencia en combate también lo compararía a un elemental tipo tierra, así que sería un poco de ambas.
También vemos que Jogo con su poderes volcánicos y su volátil temperamento, se compara más a un elemental tipo tierra.
Something that gave rise to writing this post was a curiosity that arose in me: Is Hanami an elemental? In my opinion I would say yes, however it is evident that the mangaka Gege did not include the argument of curses in the classification of elementals. As this gives you creative freedom to create unique characters and story arcs. And talking a little more about Hanami: Without a doubt his combat skills are high, his powers are plant manipulation and stealth.
