Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

thumbnail_IMG_2451.jpg

I'll be the first to admit that my dogs are spoiled, with their ears pinned back and their big saucer eyes i can rarely refuse them. We always try to give them a variety of different treats mostly oily ones to aid Meg's stiff joints, but one thing they both really love is Peanut Butter.

Meg has been suffering a bit with the cold weather and she had been very grumpy which is how we determine when she is in pain. Yesterday i ordered more Yumove for her which, taken twice daily, should last her at least half the year and really help relieve the effects of her Hip Dysplasia.
Here's what type of Yumove i order for Meg

Since the Peanut Butter love is strong, i thought i would make some yummy biscuits to cheer her up and of course some for Bella because she is such a cutie, and i wanted to share this super easy, no fuss recipe!

When you go to buy your Peanut Butter PLEASE check the ingredients, some brands include Xylitol which while harmless to us is very toxic to dogs even in small quantities, and in higher amounts can cause potentially fatal liver damage. Palm Oil can also prove to be too rich for Dogs and lead to Stomach upset and Diarrhoea but is usually fine in small quantities every now and again, however its preferably best avoided.

So, lets get to the recipe, you will need...
2 cups of Flour (i just used plain)
1/2 cup of Peanut Butter
2 Eggs

Yep, that's it! Just mix all together and add water until you get a dough, them simply roll out and cut out your biscuits in your desired shape. I wish i had a bone cookie cutter but the Gingerbread Man will have to do, i think they liked them anyway.

I would recommend always double checking the ingredients are ok to use first though as like Peanut Butter some brands may contain toxic substances.

Thanks for reading! As always, comments and upvotes are much appreciated :)
