#AIR-CLINIC WRITING CONTEST 12: Drug Abuse; A Youth Destiny Killer

After a brief walk with my friend Crivia, our convo took a sharp swing into the growing indulgence in drugs by teenagers lately. As we walk down the aisle of a huge citadel she said

"I wonder, where one is when they're so high on drugs?"

Drug are a rose-lined lane to misery and unhappiness. Although I can't say this strongly enough. Few who dabble in drugs want to admit that there is any danger in using them. They use them to escape life's reality in terms of challenges and stress and boredom; and boredom itself is a crime against the creative power of Soul.

Drug bring unreal experiences in the elementary Astral world(imaginary world) - some good, some bad, but all petty. What good ever comes from putting our sanity on the line for little pills and powders? How do you say no to "friends" who push drugs at you? You simply say NO!

Have you ever notice the cute names the negative force has put on drugs? You know must of them - angel dust, coke, button, smack or horse, codeine, skunk cabbage, orange sunshine, thailand and the like. The cute label are to hide the horror that catches the individual once it Falls on them. Drugs are a shortcut to more unbearable misery and they hardly bring more than simple light and color , at best.

A sound power of strong discrimination strong will always help you wedge away the influence of drug from your friends. Also be aware of peer pressure and its subtle effect. learn to say NO. This doesn't necessarily mean you are rejecting the person, saying NO simply mean you don't fancy the idea put to you. Have self worth, be responsible and above all, do not partake in the evil of another because true resistance is the practice of contentment.
