My Actifit Report Card: October 31 2019

It has been bitter cold here the last few days. Yesterday the lake froze overnight and then we had a light snow. We have been experiencing freezing temperatures inside our little camper at night, but staying warm under the covers.

The sun finally came out for us this morning giving us some energy to go into town for errands. After coffee we loaded up in Lylith's truck and drove into Alamosa.

At Walmart we got new candles for our propane lantern, some wool hiking socks, beer, and another water container. The handle on one of our 5 gallon water containers busted when it completely froze.

For lunch we went to Taco Bell/Long John's. I had been wanting to try some of their fried fish since I hadn't been there in so long. Lylith got a chalupa and burrito.

After lunch we went by the thrift stores and Lylith found some nice jeans and shoes. It wasn't my lucky day since I didn't find anything.

When we were done in town we headed back to the campsite. Right now we have the whole lake to ourselves. Just a herd of cows here with us now.

Went for a walk off trail to look for interesting rocks but only found a couple. Lylith found a nice sized fishing weight I'll add to my collection.

Above you will see some of the wicked cactus that grow here. This time of year it looks very menacing since the thorns are so long. If you stick yourself on these thorns they will cause the edema, erythema, and pain.
