Passage of dim light

Passage of dim light

original poetry

I ramble through a tunnel of maple toxicity;
It's the animal spirit's conjunction
With the saccharine world
Overripe with pleasure,
Overrun by the wicked.

There is some nightmare aspect of decay
That pursues me down the hallways of mind
Screaming senseless curses into my past,
Slashing dream curtains with a
Hatchet inscribed with
The svastika.

Carbon earthman
Who mocks the mystical:
You are a thorn in the side
Of the planetary lithocatepillar
Whose metamorphosis is the liquefaction
Of the entire earth's insides.

Hydrogen spacewoman
And the host of infamy
Spreading a cloying touch
Through the galactic current,
Masters of seduction & generation:
Why must the living devour each other?

Why must the light require darkness?
The mortals with infantile queries
Mummified in the frigid shell
Of dualistic hallucination
Carve their tunnels through
Sweet bitterness of the
Lush, unsavory world.
