Recently done first round of Kambo with the five dots a shaman gave me. It was very effective purging, specially after drinking 2.5 litters of spring water, the four rounds of the intense sweatlodge, the Amazon jungle tobacco that was boiled down for forty hours with herbs mix then blown into the nostrils sinuses cleanse, and the twelve hours of fast prior to the Kambo ceremony itself, which is basically telling the lymphic system, as I remember, that the body is dying, which in turn prompts the immune system to reboot.
Hence lots of water drinking required to help flash the kidneys and liver, as it comes out in puke, sweat, tears, piss. .. etc. while the shaman is chanting and singing , smudges and guides the ceremony. The whole ordeal lasts about twenty minutes after which we gathered around the bonfire and shared our thoughts about the experience.
