The sun is where almost all our energy comes from. Seriously—about 99.99% of it starts with that giant ball of fire. We can’t really stare straight at it, at least not for long, but there’s something special about catching it with your own eyes during sunrise or sunset. If you want to look at the sun, you’ve got to be up early. At sunrise and sunset, the sun feels gentle and beautiful, almost inviting. It’s the best time to take it in.
Once the sun gets about 30 degrees above the horizon, forget it. No one can stand to look at it then. It’s just too intense. Around that time, the sun’s rays get harsh, and the ultraviolet light kicks in. But in the early morning—basically from sunrise until around 8 a.m.—the sunlight actually helps your body make vitamin D. That gentle warmth does wonders for us. We really do get vitamin D straight from the sun’s heat.
The sun powers everything on Earth. All our heat, all our energy—none of it exists without the sun. But have you ever stopped to wonder who made it? I have. I believe Almighty Allah created the sun. Allah, who holds all power over everything. When you think about how huge and powerful the sun is, you can’t help but be amazed at Allah’s greatness. The sun is one of those signs—clear evidence of Allah’s power—though, honestly, it’s hard to even imagine the full extent.
Just seeing the sun should be enough to make anyone grateful. If you actually stop and think, you’ll notice these signs everywhere in creation. But some people just don’t see it; they miss the signs entirely. So yeah, we should be thankful to our Creator, who keeps everything in balance.
