Ingredients
🌾 250 grams all-purpose flour
🥄 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
🍦 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder/extract
🥚 2 eggs
🍬 100 grams granulated white sugar
🧈 50 grams melted butter/margarine
💧 200 ml water
🌰 2 tablespoons durian meat
🍵 1/2 teaspoon green tea powder
Instructions
1- Prepare Dry Ingredients:
- In a large white ceramic mixing bowl, combine 250 grams of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla powder.
- Set aside.
2- Prepare Wet Ingredients:
- In a clear glass mixing bowl, crack 2 eggs, add 100 grams of sugar, and pour in 50 grams of melted butter/margarine.
- Whisk with a metal whisk until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.
3- Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures:
- Gradually add 200 ml of water to the wet ingredients, whisking continuously.
- Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth, thick, and pourable.
4- Flavor the Batter (Optional):
- Divide the batter if making multiple flavors.
- For durian: Mix in 2 tablespoons of durian meat into a portion of the batter.
- For green tea: Blend 1/2 teaspoon of green tea powder into another portion, achieving a uniform green color.
5- Heat and Grease the Pan:
- Preheat a Kue Cubit cast iron pan over medium heat.
- Lightly grease the molds with butter/margarine.
6- Pour and Cook:
- Fill each mold about two-thirds full with your batter of choice (plain, durian, or green tea).
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are a light golden, keeping the centers soft and gooey.
7- Fold and Remove:
- Using two wooden skewers, gently fold each semi-cooked cake in half.
