🧈 8 tablespoons butter, cut into small cubes
🥚 2 eggs
🍇 1 cup raspberry jam
🍚 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
💧 4 tablespoons water
🌈 Colored sprinkles
Instructions
1- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and powdered sugar. Mix well.
- Add the butter cubes and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend them into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Incorporate the liquid vanilla extract and eggs into the mixture, combining until a smooth dough forms.
- Form the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
2- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3- Roll Out the Dough:
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangular shape, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
4- Add the Filling:
- Evenly spread the raspberry jam over half of the dough rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Fold the other half of the dough over the jam-covered side, gently pressing the edges to seal.
5- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.
6- Prepare the Glaze:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and water until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled pastry.
7- Decorate:
- Sprinkle colored sprinkles on top of the glazed pastry for a festive touch.
