The first step is Capture, the idea is for you to capture everything that comes to you in some type of "inbox", from files, actions and even thoughts. This way, your mind is free to focus on executing and not on those lost ideas. After everything has been captured, the second step of Clarify begins. In it, you will remove things from the "inbox" and place them where they need to be, to do this, you just need to ask yourself: What is this item? Where should he go? If it is something that does not require action, you have 3 options: put it in the trash, put it on a someday list or organize it in references. If there is an action involved, you define a plan or execute/delegate it or wait. Any tool that you can write down or organize, you can now use the GTD method. This is what makes this method useful and not rigid, even though it has a simple flow to follow. Sometimes, implementing the strategy of having an inbox, and then organizing it when you have extra time, can be enough to help you organize your life. A primeira etapa é Capturar, nela a ideia é você capturar tudo que chega até você em algum tipo "caixa de entrada", dede arquivos, ações e até mesmo pensamentos. Dessa forma, você fica com a mente livre para se concentrar em executar e não nessas ideias perdidas. Depois que tudo foi capturado, começa o segundo passo de Esclarecer. Nele, você irá retirar as coisas da "caixa de entrada" e colocá-las onde precisam estar, para isso, basta você se perguntar: O que é esse item? Para onde ele deve ir? Se ele for algo que não demande uma ação você tem 3 opções: colocar para lixeira, colocar em uma lista de algum dia ou organizá-lo em referências. Já se tiver uma ação envolvida você define um plano ou executa/delega ou aguarda. Depois de refletir sobre onde colocar o item, comece a organizá-lo na lixeira, lista ou referências. Por fim, tem a execução no etapa de Engajar. Esse método é bem conhecido e utilizado por diversas pessoas, não é necessário que você implemente ele completamente, as vezes uma parte dele pode servir para você ou adaptar de uma forma específica para se encaixar na sua rotina. Qualquer ferramenta que você consiga anotar or organizar já é possível utilizar o método GTD. Isso que faz com que esse método seja útil e não seja rígido, mesmo tendo um fluxo grama para ser seguido. Às vezes, implementar a estratégia de ter uma caixa de entrada, para depois organizar quando tiver um tempo extra já pode ser o suficiente para te ajudar a organizar a sua vida.
