I welcome you to my blog. Over the years I have come to realize that the desire for something, either to become rich or to push your goals, can either make you or break you; it all depends on how you pursue those desires or how you try to achieve them. They humans are insatiable, and I doubted it, but now I understand it better. Those who just graduated high school have the desire to further their education in college; those who just graduated college have the desire to get a job or be employed; and those who have jobs or are employed have the desire to be promoted to a higher position in their workplace.
Our desires might differ as humans, but one thing is certain: we are insatiable as humans. We get one, and then we want another one, and it is like a cycle that goes on and on like it has no end. You go from desiring this to desiring that; sometimes one desire is yet to be gotten and we already have another one topping the list, and once they are met, we have more, and the cycle continues nonstop. The fact that desires are nonstop makes it good, and at the same time, it makes it dangerous.
Having desires as a human being is a natural phenomenon; every human being is expected to have desires, but what makes it right or wrong is how you try to satisfy those desires of yours. There are people who, no matter how bad they want something or have a desire for something, don't let those desires control them; like, until those desires are satisfied, they are fully in control and make decisions thinking clearly and always remember that their decisions while pursuing their desires can come back to haunt them.
Then there are those who, once the desire for something comes knocking, let their desire for that thing to control them, their actions, their decisions, and everything that concerns them is now controlled by their desire. People like this make decisions just to satisfy their desires, not minding how those decisions will actually affect others because all they want is that their desires are met. As far as their desires are met, then they don't mind, which is why I said having desires is not bad, but how you go about it or try to satisfy those desires is what makes them good or bad; the decisions you make in order to satisfy your desires can either leave you happy or leave you in regrets.
