Check out this week's prompt of here I found it pretty interested and I'd urge you to also lend your voices.
There was a time when I believed being single was the best way to enjoy life. I loved my freedom, made decisions without consulting anyone, and focused entirely on my personal goals. While there were certainly benefits to that lifestyle, my perspective changed when I experienced what it truly means to be in a healthy and loving relationship.
For me, being in a good relationship is better than being single because it adds value to life in ways that are difficult to achieve alone. A good relationship provides companionship, emotional support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. It is not about losing independence; rather, it is about sharing life's journey with someone who genuinely cares about your well-being.
One of the greatest advantages I have found is having someone to celebrate victories with and lean on during difficult times. Life is filled with ups and downs, and knowing there is someone who believes in me, supports my dreams, and stands by me through challenges gives me confidence and peace of mind.
A healthy relationship also encourages personal growth. My partner often helps me see things from different perspectives, challenges me to become a better person, and motivates me to work harder toward my goals. Through mutual respect and honest communication, I continue to learn valuable lessons about patience, understanding, and compromise.
Another reason I believe a good relationship is better than being single is the emotional connection it provides. Human beings are naturally social creatures, and meaningful connections contribute greatly to our happiness. Sharing experiences, creating memories, and building a future together can make life more fulfilling and enjoyable.
However, I must emphasize that not every relationship is better than being single. A toxic, unhealthy, or abusive relationship can do more harm than good. In such situations, being single is undoubtedly the better option. The key difference lies in the quality of the relationship. A good relationship is built on trust, respect, honesty, and genuine care for one another.
Being single has its advantages, and it can be a wonderful season for self-discovery and personal development. Yet, from my experience and perspective, a healthy relationship offers an additional layer of happiness, support, and companionship that enriches life in remarkable ways.
At the end of the day, I believe that being in a good relationship is better than being single because it allows two people to grow together, support each other, and create a life filled with love, purpose, and shared experiences. When the relationship is healthy and genuine, it becomes one of life's greatest blessings.
