Santosha - the second niyama of the eight limbs of yoga. Meaning: contentment.
For as long as I can remember, I've been seeking adventure. Moving cities, chasing jobs, and dreaming of my future. That's a beautiful fire to have. However there comes a point when we're not truly living in the present and are even thankful for what we have right now.
This week was probably one of the best weeks I've had in a very, very long time. I didn't get a new job, or a new car, or a new house or a dog. I didn't win the lottery. And I still have many of the same real life issues facing me. But I let go of the fear, and I truly opened my eyes and reminded myself, this beauty in your life, these people, this home, this lifestyle, all of it you manifested. All of it, not that long ago, was your heart's deepest desires.
This week I hiked, I danced, I was plugged back into my heart with music, I played a little gig, I said YES to finally receiving this life that is so beautifully given to me, I had really special moments with people, I got rid of a lot of crap and rearranged my stuff to allow creativity to flow through me. I taught and went to kundalini, did a manifestation/ alignment course and wrote and felt in flow. F L O W: when your body is aligned with your higher self's purpose.
I don't care how far in debt you are, how many times you've been rejected, or if you're impatient waiting for the next thing in your life. Start now. How would you feel if you had your life's desires now? Guess what, that feeling is available to you NOW. And this is where we can finally thank the small victories. We radiate in our aliveness because we chose to be here at this point in time. We can change our story at any moment. Why keep waiting?
Everything is here now. Do a little digging, and you'll find the gold that's been waiting for you. #santosha #yoga #meditation #lawofattraction #healing #saturday #eightlimbs #niyamas #manifestation #contentment #presentmoment #beherenow #smile #gratitude #kundalini
