This was Olympic Plaza in downtown Calgary. A legacy of the 1988 winter games that were hosted here. Now it's being completely redeveloped; it will still be a plaza-style gathering place, just more updated and modern. I am not sure about this, as I find the original plaza was a great space and had some historic value here, but time marches on.
