The Burnpost Comments are the best!

They are my favorite, and they should be your favorite too. They are case study for human herd mentality, and I mean that not because I'm trying to sound evil or anything of the sort. If you don't know what I'm talking about, good for you, this means you are not perusing in the trending page like the rest of us.

So what's the deal with the comments you say? Well, let me ask you this. Have you ever been in a party or just a get together and there is someone who is very well-read present? This sapient sapiens goes off on some historical events, assumes that everyone in the room can follow and starts to dip his toes into some big words. You look around the room, you can tell some people are experiencing discomfort, they don't know what is going on, but they don't want to look stupid so they act, they do their best, but you can tell, its obvious, specially because of their contributions to the conversation.

Sapient Sapiens -"Well, that is why the constituency needs to focus on less trivial things, the almost feudally tinged conversations are tribalism at best... What do you think?"

Pretendo Sapiens-"Well, of course I agree, the feudal is always like that right... like it says things"

The conversation goes on for a little bit, for some reason the Well-read Sapiens can't detect he is talking to a smiling plant and thus, the illusion is complete. Social interaction has happened and nobody but you is wondering - What the hell is going on?

That is the Burnpost, well, the Steem equivalent

So, just because you might not know what the burnpost is all about, and I want to make sure you and I are on the same page. The Burnpost is this little experiment @smooth started a little while ago. The idea is to drive the price of the SBD down to $1 USD and increase the price of Steem by effectively selling the SBD for Steem at a lower price in the internal market pushing it down, and then, after the desired $1 USD = $1 SBD is achieved, he would burn all the Steem to the @null account.

WHYYYY? You ask? - Well, this post would be way to long if I tried to explain that tonight, the wine is getting to me too and you don't want to get bored with technicalities. It's enough to say this is the goal, deflate the currency by burning it to @null and decrease the price of SBD by selling it cheap.

With that out of the way

Lets study the comments to @burnpost, these are made by people who have absolutely no clue what this whole thing is all about, but they pretend they do. Its great, I love it, and you should too.

There are a few Steemians who try to help, teach these confused new users what this little experiment is all about but, it doesn't matter. There is always a new comment for me to smile about.

Ok, now that I've told you this, let's see... before this post pays out who can find the best comment made to @burnpost for the week. I will send you 1 SBD if you find me an amazing one, it has to be amazing though. Upvotes for all contributions.

Buenos Nachos amigos
