Well, personally I will agree to the teaching of cryptocurrency and forex in our schools. And to be honest with you, I actually have very little knowledge about it, meaning even I am interested in learning it. Assuming it's something that has been taught in our schools, I wouldn't be lagging behind as I am presently. And I will have very good knowledge about it that I will even be able to reach others.
Now, in as much as I would agree that it should be taught in our schools, I would also like to add that this children/students have a level of assimilation, I mean they have a level of what their brain can actually carry. So, for them(students) to be able to understand what money really is, what it means to tske risks and the various consequences involved, then such a child should have matured mentally to some extent. What I'm trying to say I'm essence is that, a primary school kid shouldn't be open to such a knowledge. So, there should be a certain class such a thing will be taught, maybe the first year at their secondary school, and for students who seems to be very brilliant,. intelligent and matured, theirs could start during their late Junior secondary classes.
All this is just so we won't confuse them early in life and open them to something they may later take for granted or see as joke. And when it's bring taught, the curriculum as well shouldn't just go straight into cryptocurrency and forex, I'm a teacher too, so I think I know what I'm saying. If we want to teach and open students to such a knowledge, we shouldn't just jump in straight, I would suggest the basics shouldn't even have anything about forex in it, it should just start with ideas of things like saving, prices, budgeting, needs, wants and the likes. If it starts from such a place, you get to see the seriousness and mental capacity of the students and would know if to then move a little upward in addressing the real topic.
Also, while being taught, these students shouldn't just be made to see the good parts, the pros and cons should be taught too. It's true that there are a lot of opportunities embedded in crypto and forex, but at the same time, there's the losses, scams and such too, even the fact that it can mess with our emotional and mental well-being too.
I would also love to add that whoever would be teaching these students has a lot of work to do, the topic/subject isn't for someone with little knowledge about it. Professionals should be in charge, people who actually do it, people who have a very vast understanding of it, people who don't just read about it in books, people who have seen both sides of it(lost, learned, recovered), and are still doing very well.
And believe me, if done the right way, it will definitely help raise a different, more wiser and smarter generation. Even if they eventually do not end up being a trader/crypto enthusiast/forex trader, that mindset and knowledge alone is enough to help them in whatever they venture into. So, if all of that is done the right way, taught by the best, at the right time, and with the right foundation, it will have a very massive impact.
