Web3 reforestando en Perú // Web3 reforesting in Peru (ES/EN)

Como estan? comunidad de Aliento, he estado un tiempo alejado de escribir en mi blog personal, pero ha sido una transición interesante en mi vida formando una comunidad solida como Hive account@cryptomonk3ys y de hecho estaremos publicando videos sobre crypto mas seguido por ese canal. Pero hoy quiero comentarles que en el mundo web3 no todo es inversión, trading, perder tu dinero, etc. El Sábado 14 Diciembre hicimos una reforestación auspiciada por la comunidad de Nouns Dao(Link), con la ayuda del grupos de scouts de Zarate(Link) y todo esto bajo el liderazgo del chico de las plantas(Link).

But today, I want to share with you that in the Web3 world, it’s not all about investing, trading, losing your money, etc. On Saturday, December 14th, we organized a reforestation event sponsored by the Nouns DAO community (Link), with the help of the Zarate Scout Group (Link), all under the leadership of El Chico de las Plantas (Link)."

La reforestación fue en Zarate, San Juan de Lurigancho en Lima-Perú, llegamos a las 10 am al lugar, no necesitamos llevar los arboles porque ya estaban allá, junto con la tierra preparada, el humus y el hidrogel, fuimos un grupo de voluntarios que junto con los scouts plantamos todos los arboles.

The reforestation took place in Zarate, San Juan de Lurigancho, in Lima, Peru. We arrived at the location at 10 a.m. There was no need to bring the trees since they were already there, along with the prepared soil, humus, and hydrogel. We were a group of volunteers who, together with the scouts, planted all the trees.

Para comenzar a plantar había que tener los implementos puestos, mandil y guantes, el mandil no parecía tan útil porque igual nos ensuciamos todos, incluso en la espalda (rarísimo no?) pero si tenia algunos bolsillos que servían para guardar cosas o herramientas, en cuanto a los guantes si recomiendo ponérselos porque muchas chicas decían que arruinaron sus uñas y en general te puede entrar tierra a las uñas o te puedes lastimar las manos con las piedras que hay en el suelo donde se va plantar.

To start planting, we had to wear the necessary gear: an apron and gloves. The apron didn’t seem very useful because we all ended up getting dirty anyway, even on our backs (weird, right?). However, it did have some pockets that were handy for storing items or tools. As for the gloves, I definitely recommend wearing them because many girls mentioned that they ruined their nails, and in general, dirt can get under your nails, or you might hurt your hands on the rocks in the ground where you’re planting.

Una vez recibidas las instrucciones procedimos a plantar los arboles y la receta es las siguiente:

1. Primero debemos cavar hoyos de tal manera que tapen un poco mas allá de toda la raíz del árbol con respecto a la superficie final, Para esto usamos pico y pala.
2. Luego procedemos a agregar tres capas de tierra preparada, una capa de humus y una de hidrogel, cuidado sino te gustan las lombrices en la tierra preparada 😅.
3. Colocamos el árbol encima, tapamos con tierra preparada suficiente, un poco de humus, luego tapamos completamente con la tierra que desplazamos para cavar el hoyo.
4. Antes de regar la planta, procedemos a aplanar los alrededores del centro del árbol de tal forma que se queden como un surco circular alrededor del tronco, casualmente se hace esto para que el agua llegue directamente a la raíz y que no ve vaya por otro lado.

Once we received the instructions, we proceeded to plant the trees, and here’s the process:

1. First, we need to dig holes deep enough to cover the entire root of the tree, extending slightly beyond the root level in relation to the final surface. For this, we used a pickaxe and a shovel.
2. Next, we added three layers: one layer of prepared soil, one layer of humus, and one layer of hydrogel. Be careful if you don’t like worms—they might be in the prepared soil 😅.
3. We then placed the tree in the hole, covered it with enough prepared soil, added a bit more humus, and finally filled it completely with the displaced soil from digging the hole.
4. Before watering the plant, we flattened the area around the base of the tree to create a circular trench around the trunk. Interestingly, this is done to ensure that the water flows directly to the roots and doesn’t drain elsewhere.
