Assalam-o-Alaikum and hello to my #hive family. Welcome to another interesting blog.
In today’s blog, I am going to discuss a very important topic related to our health and fitness:
“How Much Protein Should We Take for a Healthy Body?”

Nowadays, I am researching health and physical activities. Health has become one of my favourite topics. I am watching many videos and doing research on how we can remain healthy and fit, and which diet and daily routine can keep us active and energetic. I believe health has become a serious issue for many people around us. Many people do not know how to keep their bodies fit and healthy.
Now, let’s come to the main topic.
Proper protein intake is necessary for an active and healthy body. If we do not take the required amount of protein, our muscles cannot grow properly and our immune system becomes weak. Proper protein intake helps us stay energetic throughout the day.
So, the question is:
How much protein should we take daily, and how should we take it?
Which foods contain protein?
For example, if your weight is 70 kg, you should multiply 70 by 0.8. The result will be your minimum daily protein intake in grams. This is a simple formula to calculate the minimum amount of protein your body needs.
However, if you exercise or do workouts, the formula changes slightly. You should multiply your weight by 1.2 to 1.6. An active person should take 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight.
Now let me tell you which foods contain protein:
Eggs, chicken, peanuts, beans, milk, yogurt, lentils, chickpeas, and fish are good sources of protein. We should include these foods in our daily lifestyle to remain healthy and active.
One important thing to remember is that we should not take all our protein in one meal. Protein should be taken in distributed meals throughout the day. Every meal should include some source of protein.
Only rice and bread are not enough for a healthy meal. Unfortunately, most people in Pakistan are not aware of the proper intake of protein. They are not guided properly. As a result, they do not consume enough protein, their muscle strength becomes weak, and their energy levels go down. Their immune system also becomes weaker.
I believe health awareness should be part of the syllabus in every country. In a country like Pakistan, where many people are unaware of these important health topics, students should be taught basic health and nutrition from school level so that a healthy society can develop.
