1. Thousand Star Flower
This bright yellow flower is called Melampodium divaricatum in Latin, or where I live, parents call it a mini sunflower because its shape is almost like a sunflower. Some also call it the thousand star flower because it often grows in very large numbers.
According to an article I read on Wikipedia: (https://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunga_seribu_bintang), the thousand star flower is a species of flowering plant in the genus Melampodium. This species was first described in 1836.
2. Kitolod Flower
The Kitolod flower is a wildflower that usually grows in damp bushes. This flower has medicinal properties for eye ailments, although it does sting a bit at first. Where I live, the Kitolod flower is often used as a concoction for sore eyes, or drops of the flower are dripped directly into the eyeball.
3. Purple Trumpet Flower
This purple trumpet flower is often planted intentionally in home gardens. The reason it's called the purple trumpet flower is because of its trumpet-like shape.
