I joined steemit in early July 2016, just after the initial payout.

I spent all my time on it those first few months. Learning how it worked, commenting on all the changes, but best of all meeting lots of new people. Will this latest price ramp lead to reunion 2017?

The platform is so much easier to use now. It's simple to add a picture. No more imgsafe links.

The rewards are so much more fair.

The whale expirement still is working to make sure this rise in price boosts payouts for the little guy.

The dev team is working better.

They are addressing one problem at a time with nice updates explaining what they are about to do.

crypto is taking off everywhere.

(yet still somehow under the radar)

But where are the old faces?

Lots of writers have stopped posting. Hell I have stopped posting, though I do vote from time to time and resteem. Where are the old guys? What's that dead followers link? I remember Hive account@hisnameisolllie (3ls) used to have some good posts Hive account@masteryoda, Hive account@dragonslayer and Hive account@juneaugoldbuyer and lots of other names I have forgotten.

Maybe this price ramp will bring some of them back?
