Sí, hoy es un Domingo tranquilo, pero no sé si sublime... Generalmente el inicio de un año representa temporada vacacional y descanso, las calles están vacías y solo quienes tienen la mala suerte de trabajar en estas fechas son las pocas almas que transitan por esos mundos de Dios. Pero hoy se siente distinto, ha sido un día de mucha calma, un día muy silencioso igual que ayer, pero es un silencia y una calma que llega a sentirse muy incómoda, ya que está llena de incertidumbre. Pensé que estábamos acostumbrados a la incertidumbre en este país, pero como siempre hemos logrado superarnos a nosotros mismos...

I've only gone out to buy some groceries, and I don't know if it's the uncertainty I'm carrying inside or a collective feeling, but outside my house everything looks so bleak. Yo solo he salido a comprar algunos víveres, y no sé si es la incertidumbre que llevo dentro o si es el sentimiento colectivo, pero fuera de casa todo luce muy gris. Hay todo tipo de sentimientos, algunos están alegres, algunos están tristes, otros están asustados y siempre hay un grupo al que nada le importa. Creo que yo tengo un poco de todo ellos, y aunque estoy consciente que no habrá cambios inmediatos, me siento a la expectativa de no sé qué. Tantos años de tensión nos han llevado a un momento de mucha violencia, algo que no conocíamos los jóvenes de aquí, pero que sabemos que existe porque no somos ajenos a los acontecimientos de otros lugares del mundo. No puedo dejar de pensar que este a penas es un comienzo, pero se quiebra mi mente al no saber qué es lo que está comenzando...

At home, we're doing our best to have a wonderful Sunday. Today we decided to sleep in, since yesterday was a difficult day for falling asleep. We're gathered as a family, we've tuned out the news, and we're trying to distract ourselves with some Christmas movies we haven't seen yet... Yes, we're making an effort, but it's hard to ignore our situation. This morning we didn't go to church; the church we usually attend is quite far from home, and my mom is afraid to go out. I completely understand her; we watched the live stream on Instagram, and the priest almost fainted during the consecration. Everyone in the church was upset, so I'm glad my mom wasn't there, yesterday's scare was enough. Our parish priest is fine now, but everything that's happening outside the house is making us feel very uneasy... Tomorrow is Monday, and we have to leave the house. Let's see what surprises 2026 has in store for us; I just hope they're for the best 🙏

En casa estamos haciendo lo posible por tener un Domingo Sublime. Hoy hemos decidido dormir, ya que ayer fue un día complicado para conciliar el sueño. Estamos reunidos en familia, nos hemos alejado de las noticias y estamos buscando la manera de distraernos con algunas películas de navidad que quedaron pendientes... Sí, estamos haciendo un esfuerzo, pero es difícil ignorar nuestra situación. En la mañana no fuimos a la iglesia, el templo al cual asistimos está muy retirado de casa y mi mamá tiene miedo de salir a las calles. Yo la entiendo completamente, vimos la transmisión en vivo por Instagram y el sacerdote casi se ha desmayado en plena consagración. Todos en la iglesia se alteraron, así que me alegra que mi mamá no haya estado presente, es suficiente con el susto de ayer. Nuestro párroco ya está bien, pero todo lo que ocurre fuera de casa nos hace sentir una tensión muy incómoda... Ya mañana es Lunes y hay que salir de casa obligatoriamente. Veamos qué sorpresas nos tiene preparadas el año 2026; yo solo espero que sea para bien 🙏
