Maybe I should turn my attention to cyber security but I am considering how cumbersome the demands will be. It was something I was discussing with a friend some weeks ago at the study center.
His career of study is cyber security; ‘ a hot cake career indeed but very time consuming especially if you are to work with secret agents’. How did I even get here? Oh! I wanted to discuss the current weak security processes I saw.
People went to remit their phone and personal belongings and get number tags that are hand written since it was the criteria to get access to where we were entering. With so many people remitting, what if, just what if someone decides to personally hand-write and brings it back to get what was not actually his?
Have they never had such experiences here before? I had to ask because I was actually concerned about my mobile phone I was handing over. On the other hand, I also felt such has not been rampant and shouldn't even be NOW that I am around because I won't want to hear any made up stories. Nevertheless, from my end, I felt they should have at least stepped up. A tag number plus a passport attached to your belongings would have made much sense.
To conclude, let me add, security is no longer safe with a factor authentication process. It becomes an easy pick. Where I am pointing to is the fact that both online or offline, we need to step up concerning security.
