I remember when talking about Saints Row meant talking about fun chaos. It wasn't GTA, and that's precisely why it was so appealing. It was more exaggerated, more ridiculous, more cheeky. It didn't take itself too seriously, and that was part of its charm. More explosions, more craziness, more personality. It was impossible not to have fun. It was entertaining, but it also felt like the series was running away from itself. It wasn't exactly Saints Row, but it was connected in spirit and design. And that's where the wear and tear was already showing. It didn't make a big impact, it didn't generate lasting conversation, it didn't leave a mark. It was one of those games that comes out, a few people try it, and a month later nobody's talking about it anymore. And then came the 2022 reboot, Saints Row. It was supposed to be the rebirth. The moment to say, "Okay, we learned our lesson, we're coming back with something fresh but faithful." But what came out was something that didn't convince either old or new fans. The characters lacked their charisma. The tone tried to be modern, but it felt forced. The humor was no longer irreverent; it was just bizarre. It was that it was mediocre. And mediocrity kills faster than disaster—something that's become clear to me after watching recent releases. A bad game can become a cult classic. The studio behind the saga, Volition, ended up closing. Thirty years of history vanished with a corporate decision. And when the studio that created the DNA of a franchise disappears, it's not just an administrative closure; it's a symbolic blow. Because the problem wasn't just a bad launch; it was a complete disconnect from what made the series special. That's it. I wanted to share a piece of my history as a gamer. I think this is one of the series I've enjoyed the most, even more than GTA at times, so here it is, and I personally recommend the fourth game.

No era GTA, y justamente por eso gustaba. Era más exagerado, más ridículo, más descarado. No se tomaba demasiado en serio y eso era parte de su encanto. Tenía historia, tenía momentos absurdos, pero también sabía ponerse serio cuando hacía falta. Después vino Saints Row: The Third y eso fue como pisar el acelerador sin mirar atrás. Más explosiones, más locura, más personalidad. Era imposible no divertirse. Era entretenido, pero también se sentía como si la saga estuviera huyendo de sí misma. El momento de decir “ok, aprendimos, volvemos con algo fresco pero fiel”. Pero lo que salió fue algo que no convenció ni a los fans viejos ni a los nuevos. Los personajes no tenían el mismo carisma. El tono intentaba ser moderno, pero se sentía forzado. El humor ya no era irreverente, era extraño. Y cuando el estudio que creó el ADN de una franquicia desaparece, no es solo un cierre administrativo, es un golpe simbólico. Porque el problema no fue solo un mal lanzamiento, fue una desconexión total con lo que hacía especial a la saga. Ya está, queria publicar un pedazo de mi historia como videojugador, creo que esta es una de las sagas que mas disfrute incluso por momentos mas que los GTA asi que aqui se los dejo y les dejo como recomendacion personal el cuarto juego
