August 2017: GitHub Development Winners

The fifth month of the GitHub Development Bounty (August 1st to 31st) is now complete!

Our development community continues to push amazing pull requests, innovations and ARK related projects — and we at ARK are truly proud of the hard work you do. We’ve seen some fantastic stuff during August (like ARKKit by sleepdefic1t, opening many doors to developers). This month has seen a significant increase in the number of developers contributing to the ARK ecosystem — proof we are expanding with our community based development progress.

Without further ado, here are the winners for the month of August 2017:

August 2017:

1st place: 3,000 ARK

For writing ARKKit (ARK-SWIFT)
ARKKit is an iOS wrapper for interacting with the ARK blockchain.
It is written purely in Swift 4.0, using no external dependencies or libraries.
This allows for a quick, easy, and dependecy-free integration into your Computer, Server, or iDevice project!

2nd place: 2,000 ARK

• Syncing with changes — DB logic, testing performance, improvments… and a lot more
• Updates related to new developments
• Peer optimization and network selection and connection updates
• Peer optimizations, large payload tx processing (more than 400x) per batch

3rd place: 1,000 ARK

For September 2017 payouts will be:

1st of September 2017–30th of September 2017:

• 1st place: 2,000 ARK
• 2nd place: 1,250 ARK
• 3rd place: 900 ARK
• 4th–5th place: 400 ARK /each
• 6th–9th : 200 ARK / each
• EXTRA IN SEPTEMBER 10th* place+: 50 ARK to each of those not eligible for any of the 1st–9th places. You can still get 50 ARK (+ all 5 PR rewards)!
  *if you have only typo PR requests those are eligible for only +5 ARK rewards

P.S. : Don’t forget that next month we’ll also choose our 2nd “Contributor of the Quarter” (July-August-September) who will receive an additional 2,500 ARK reward and we must say competition is fierce!
