Steem Monsters Airdrop Contests Week #2
Since our last art contest didn't get as many entries as we'd hoped, this week it has been omitted and replaced with not one, but two brand new contests! These join the 'Giveaways' contest of week #1, to give a total of 3 contests for this week's airdrop.
We've also broken up the prize winnings into tiers (1st, 2nd, etc), to enable more winners per contest. Winners will be chosen based solely on YOUR VOTES! Participating voters will also be awarded UP tokens of varying amounts, depending on their SM Discord Rep... But more on that later, LETS SEE THE LOOT!
Writing Contest
Conjurer Mushroom Monster - #esoteric community
With the help of the talented @kayrex, we'll be releasing different Mushroom themed monsters based on communities already approved for the 1UP platform. These monsters may very well be official SM cards one day, but for now we need your help to give them some gripping backstories!

Strategy Guide Contest - Water Splinter/ Commons & Rares
With the launch of the SM Testnet, the monster markets are going bare as steemians start building their decks & teams. In light of this, we want to see your best monster mash ups & why you think your team would reign victorious!

2nd - 10,000 UP Tokens
3rd - 5,000 UP Tokens
An additional 3000 UP Tokens will be shared amongst the voting members of the SM community.
Total token airdrop for this contest - 33,000 UP Tokens
Rules
(1) Create a post stating which Steem Monsters of the Water Splinter you would place on a team, using only Commons & Rares.
Be sure to mention why you chose them!
(2) Standard SM Testnet rules apply.

- Must include one summoner
- All summoned monsters must be of the same splinter as their summoner (Note - Selenia can only summon dragons & cards of 1 other element splinter per match, (except for neutrals)
All cards on the testnet have maxed levels

Monster Giveaways Contest
If it's one thing we at 1UP know about the SM community, it's that their members LOVE GIVEAWAYS! With the official game getting ready to drop, Alpha & Beta card giveaways are everywhere on the Steem blockchain. It's time you monster-altruists got some much deserved love in return. ;)

1UP Tokens will be awarded to participating Voters
Your time is valuable, so in exchange for your aiding us in choosing our winners, we will also be awarding 1UP tokens for cast votes. The number of tokens being distributed per contest is broken down as follows;

1000 UP Tokens - Developers & Team members (100 each for the first 10 voters)
1000 UP Tokens (50 each for the first 20 voters)

"Wait, what is 1UP again?"... We're glad you asked!
1UP is a new community upvoting system being built on the steem blockchain. Unlike the current Steemit voting model which is based on vote weight, on the 1UP platform all user votes are equal. Users upvote within any of the Steem communities that have been added to the 1UP platform, whose application is due to launch in October.
Each day, the official @steem-1up account will upvote the ten highest ranked posts (got the most 1UPs) in each community, this means that:
(1) There are multiple chances daily to win a hefty upvote from the @steem-1up account
(2) High curation rewards for all upvoters on winning posts.
